I wonder who’s ship I will overtake next.
I hear Lt. Maynard calling my name.
I see lots of buried treasure in my near future.
I want to be the most famous pirate in history.

I don’t have any feelings.
I feel the smokey burning cordage in my beard.
I touch my cutlass as I prepare for battle.
I worry that my name will not live on.
I cry. Ha! I never cry.
I am the king of all pirates and ruler of the sea.
I understand that my nature is evil and vicous.
I say “argghh”.
I dream about pieces of eight.
I try to be as mean and nasty as possible.
I hope I can retire from piracy a rich man.

this i-poem was pretty intense. lol. I love the way you wrote, “I hear Maynard calling my name.” That’s the part I’m talking about it sounding intense. You took a similar approach to myself by repeating the same sentence in each stanza. Loved it.

This is a really cute Blackbeard IPOEM! We both had the same thought about the “I cry” line. I loved the way you worded it. It was more in a Blackbeard kind of voice I thought. Your clip art at the top is so cute and appropriate!! Awesome job!

I really like your poem, it really made me believe that Blackbeard was the one saying all these lines. You used the words from our dictionaries really well. I used a similar approach to the “I cry” line also. haha. Great job!
